I started working in a snowboard shop when I was 17. It was the ideal job and I met all kinds of people. I moved to the mountains when I graduated from high school so that I could snowboard every day. I learned to skateboard around that time and realized that I also wanted to go to college. I spent 5 years snowboarding half the year and going to school half the year. I worked at High Cascade Snowboard Camp. I made a ‘zine before blogs were big. To keep it simple, I just did what I loved and followed my heart, rather than following what other people thought was right for me. If you do the same, you’ll end up ok!
